Its headquarters are at <strong>Freemasons\u2019 Hall, Great Queen Street, London WC2B 5AZ<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Meetings<\/h3>\n<p>UGLE meets in Quarterly Communication on the second Wednesday in March, June, September and December.\u00a0 The Annual Investiture, which is followed by the Grand Festival, is held on the last Wednesday in April.<\/p>\n<h3>Administration<\/h3>\n<p>The United Grand Lodge of England currently has around 200,000 members meeting in over 7,000 Lodges, which are grouped as follows:<\/p>\n<p>Lodges meeting in London (an area generally within a 10-mile radius of Freemasons\u2019 Hall), are administered by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.londonmasons.org.uk\"><strong>Metropolitan Grand Lodge of London<\/strong><\/a>, which is headed by the Metropolitan Grand Master.<\/p>\n<p>Lodges meeting outside London, and within England, Wales, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands, are grouped into 48 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ugle.org.uk\/about-us\/provinces\"><strong>Provinces<\/strong><\/a>, whose boundaries often correspond to those of the old Counties, with each headed by a Provincial Grand Master.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas Ralling Lodge is a member of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.essexfreemasons.org.uk\">Provincial Grand Lodge of Essex<\/a><\/strong>, one of the &#8220;Big Three&#8221; Provinces.<\/p>\n<p>Lodges that meet outside England, Wales, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands are grouped into 32 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ugle.org.uk\/about-us\/districts-and-groups\"><strong>Districts<\/strong><\/a>, with each headed by a District Grand Master, four <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ugle.org.uk\/about-us\/districts-and-groups\"><strong>Groups<\/strong><\/a> (ie: currently too small to make up a District), with each headed by a Grand Inspector, and 12 Lodges abroad which are directly administered by Freemasons\u2019 Hall.<\/p>\n<h3>Publications<\/h3>\n<p>The United Grand Lodge of England publishes a <strong>Masonic Year Book<\/strong> annually which lists all committees and boards, details for all of its administrative groupings, and all Grand Officers and senior Provincial and District Officers.\u00a0 It also publishes triennially the <strong>Directory of Lodges and Chapters<\/strong>, which lists all lodges and their meeting dates and places.\u00a0 Both publications can be purchased from Freemasons\u2019 Hall.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ugle.org.uk\/about-us\/book-constitutions\">The Book of Constitutions<\/a><\/strong> (rule book) has been in the public domain since the first edition was published in 1723 and can also be purchased from Freemasons\u2019 Hall.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sharedaddy sd-sharing-enabled\">\n<div class=\"robots-nocontent sd-block sd-social sd-social-icon-text sd-sharing\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; The United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) is the governing body of Freemasonry in England, Wales and the Channel Islands.
